I am a type 2 diabetic last time i took my A1c it was at 5.3 but lately i've been feeling super tired after i eat is that normal? Should i get checked
Normal response: Feeling tired after eating is a normal response. That is why some societies take a "siesta" after lunch. With a hemoglobin a1c of 5.3%, it is unlikely that your sugars are rising significantly after eating, but you could always check that. I sometimes get a tiny bump on/ beside my uvula. Its small and clear it seems to form after i eat it and eventually goes away. What could cause this?
Salivary Gland: We have hundreds of tiny salivary glands thru out our mouths. Some times the duct from one of these gland gets blocked and the saliva backs up and forms a tiny, clear bubble. After a while the bubble pops and it goes away. When you eat you make more saliva so that's why it comes back. This is a variation of normal and not a problem. Eventually it should just go away on its own. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
