I Found A Lump In My Armpit
Deep or superficial?: If its up in the skin and moveable it is most likely just a skin cyst or pustul. If it is deeper in the armpit between the muscles it may be an inflamed lymph node or fatty tumor. These can feel like a grape deep under the skin. If you are unsure, have an md look at it. If it persists longer than a couple months or begins to grow have it seen right away -- at your age it is most likely benign. ...Read more

I recently found a lump in my armpit. It's pretty painful. I now have three lumps in my armpit that are painful and slightly red. Cancer symptom?
Not really: Cancer in the armpit essentially represents metastasis to the lymph nodes high up near the axillary vein. They are for the most part painless and would not be associated with redness. I found a lump in my right armpit oblong shape and it is sensitive to touch. There is a much smaller lump in my left armpit. I'm 34 female. Any ideas?
Hidradenitis supp.: You may just have 'sebaceous cysts' or another condition called 'hidradenitis suppurativa' which occurs deep in the skin around oil (sebaceous) glands and hair follicles. The parts of the body affected — armpits (axilla) and groin, for example — are also the main locations of apocrine sweat glands. Get checked: You may have inflamed axillary (armpit) lymph nodes. Are you taking any immunosuppressive therapy, like methotrexate, prednisone or biologics (like rituximab)? These common therapies for systemic lupus erythematosis (SLE) can increase your risk for infection, which in turn can inflame the local lymph nodes. Do see your specialist for assessment. Hope that helps. ...Read more
I have found a lump under my right armpit about 3 weeks ago. Most of the time painful to touch, moveable dime size. history of thyroid ca?
Probably OK: Since it's sore, i expect this is inflammatory. Could be a skin lesion, or an inflammed lymph node. I doubt very much it is related to your thyroid ca. For peace of mind, see your doctor and point this out. Good luck. ...Read more
