I have never been able to cough up phlegm I gag and then vomit. I currently have a chest cold and I can not get rid of the phlegm. Any suggestions?

Congestion: I don't think it is typically necessary to cough up phlegm. Try thinning it out by taking something like Guaifenesin and drinking lots of water. Don't just take the med without the water. See doctor if fever or not improving ...Read more
