I Feel Like I Have Something Lodged In My Windpipe
Trauma?: The windpipe, or trachea, is composed on cartilage on the front and sides. The back is composed of a membrane. It is possible to "crush" the trachea as a result from direct trauma. This is a dire emergency because it can lead to airway obstruction. If you are concerned about any airway injury, please seek immediate medical attention.

For 1 week I've had pain in my windpipe, it feels like there's something stuck I can't swallow and the pain gets worse when I try to swallow. Thank you?
Food pipe?: If you feel something is stuck and you have pain swallowing, you may have a difficulty in your foodpipe. If you are unable to swallow solid food, you should see a doctor immediately. If you are able to swallow liquids and soft foods, you should see the doctor if it does not get better in a day or two.

Can be foreign body.: This might be many things. It can be just irritation, or it can be from an injury to the chest/ribs, etc. It might be pneumonia but there would be fever, etc. Another possibility is that it could be a foreign body that was accidently swallowed and is stuck somewhere in the lungs/windpipe. If this has been going on for a while, you should see your doctor for an xray to be sure nothing is there.See 1 more doctor answer
Likely exertion.: Jogging far is a considerable amount of exercise. It might put strain on muscles, your heart, and your lungs. Your windpipe may hurt because your body is trying to get more oxygen into it than when you are resting, even when done jogging. This is to be expected, but if you get difficulty breathing while jogging, see your doctor to test your heart as this may be a sign of heart disease.See 1 more doctor answer

911: Absolute medical emergency...Call 911. Nothing you can do at home is safe or effective, and may do harm.
Bronchoscopy: It the pill is in the trachea and you haven't coughed it out, then bronchoscopic removal is warranted.
Few minutes: Brain death secondary to asphixia may occur after 5 minutes of asphixia.
Few options: When coughed out either out of body or swallowed. If aspirated end up in trachea or bronchus and may cause serious complications like pneumonia, lung abcess, respiratory distress and possible asfixia, death.
It's a reflex: To protect the trachea from being blocked (which would lead to death) or the lungs from developing an infection.
Not usually: It would be very uncommon to die during a tracheotomy except for during an emergency tracheotomy because a person's airway is suddenly obstructed. Scheduled tracheotomies are generally pretty safe.See 1 more doctor answer
Many different 1s: The mildest changes are just those of inflammation - grossly they look reddened and slightly swollen, and microscopically there are large numbers of different inflammatory cells (white blood cells of different types). Over time, they may develop neoplastic changes, with increasing numbers of abnormal cells, and ultimately may develop squamous cell cancer.
