If you've already tried rinsing your eye out with no luck under irrigating tap water with your hand serving as a little cup while the water rinses your eye, then it's time. Test it on your wrist to make sure it's not too hot. Place warm compress the closed eyelid for about5-10 minutes and re-heating as necessary. Use dilute baby shampoo to clean lids. As long as there is no pain, no vision change and no discharge, then that is the probable diagnosis.
