Don't give up: Not sure why the rheumatologist didn't offer help, but it sounds like you need further evaluation. You are too young to have pain in several joints. If you have a primary care physician i would bring your concerns to that doctor and see what more can be done. Blood testing and xrays may be necessary to test for autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. ...Read more

Many issues: 1: You should see a Psychologist. 2: I don't know your age but assume it is age 30 or more. Type 2 diabetes can be totally corrected so you will not have diabetes. A diabetes educator can work you through your type 2 diabetes and you will be a different woman. Have your primary doctor refer you to the dietitian. Please let me know how things go. ...Read more

Let me explain: What you mention could be due to several reasons but being young i believe most likely tendonitis in the wrist area, or less commonly you have carpel tunnel syndrome. Do you have any numbness with it? If you do this will be more of carpel tunnel syndrome. Good luck. ...Read more

Thumb ligament injury at the MCP joint, wrist fracture, in the radius or scaphoid are possible, as are other bone or ligament injury. tendon pain giving pain with thumb extension near the wrist can be a sign of contusion or tendonitis. SEVERAL ISSUES: First, the dropping of objects and description of poor grip strength, and writing issues raises thought of median nerve issues, and indeed may be "carpal tunnel sydrome". An EMG test can help.
