I Can Feel A Mass In My Rectum
There is a painful mass in my rectum that I can feel when I have a bowel movement. Is it more likely to be cancer or a hemorrhoid?
Either: In either case it should be evaluated by a qualified physician as soon as possible.See 1 more doctor answer
I think my hemorrhoid was misdiagnosed, I can't poop and when I feel in my rectum I feel a hard mass that is almost blocking my rectum. No pain.
See your doctor: At 24 years of age, this is likely stool impaction rather than a cancer, but if you are unable to defecate and indeed you cannot pass whatever is in your rectum, you need to see a physician. If it is impaction, manual disimpaction with or without enemas may help. If this is from a mass, then this need urgent evaluation. This is not a hemorrhoid, they are not hard unless the are thrombosed.
I have had constipation vomiting and a large mass between the area of rectum and vagina. I also have no gallbladder. What tests should be done.
Physical Exam: This is the most cost effective starting point, other test might be appropriate. But be seen by a gynecologist first.
Small mass near rectum, has been there for a while. Bleeds while passing stool and sore. Put tea tree oil on it and it turned almost white. Normal?
A thrombosed: (clotted) hemorrhoid is the most likely diagnosis. This is due to blood clotting in one of the small veins surrounding the anal opening (external) or rectum (internal) The ONLY way of being sure is an exam. Your Family Physician, GYN or PCP will be able to tell. And suggest treatment!
I'm constipated I feel hard mass of stool at my rectum when I push II feel it try to use my hand enema laxative but nothing bringing the stool down wh?
Hard smooth golf ball size mass in rectum in wall approx 3" above anal opening. Is painful and radiates to lower back and pelvis (all on right side). Constipated some. No blood. 34yr female. Also some uterine pain / issues. How serious is this?
During rectal exam GI dr thought he felt a mass on left side. Ct showed tilted uterus. Could tilted uterus be mistaken for mass also thick rectum wall.
Rectum not normal?: Hi I may need you to rephrase your question. But, the assumption I make is that your stool is frequent and/ or soft in the morning. It is very common to have a bowel movement at the same time every day. And, to have this happen when one first awakes is also very common. But, if your stool is not formed you may have a parasite infection or a food allergy and this needs to be evaluated.
Proctalgis: Proctalgia is rectal pain. Any injury can produce pain. Hemorrhoids, fissures and fistula can also cause rectal pain. Symptoms are generally due to spasm of the rectal muscles. Treatment may include warm baths, relaxation techniques, oral or injected medications if there is nothing to address surgically, see your doctor for more detailed history, exam & treatment.
See doctor: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful answer without additional information and physical examination. Please consult your doctor as you should not have pain.
Loose pelvic muscles: A prolapsed rectum occurs because the supporting muscles and ligaments have loosened due to age, illness of connective tissues, pregnancy, obesity, or other conditions that cause pelvic floor weakness. This needs surgical repair to prevent complications.See 2 more doctor answers
Rectal bleeding: Can have many causes such as simple hemorrhoids or fissures, but there are other disorders of the gastrointestinal tract like inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis...Etc. This is something that needs a medical evaluation and possibly a colonoscopy for a proper diagnosis. Take care!
Fissure: The most common cause of this is either anal fissures or an external hemorrhoid. These are easily diagnosed by your doctor with a simple exam. Soak your bottom and boost your fiber intake. There are also some good OTC medications you can use. Hope this helps!
Different causes: It can be a hemorrhoid, a cut or fissure, or colitis or crohns or other causes. Blood in the stool should be evaluated and taken seriously as to the cause. Your doctor will ask you about the possible causes and perform a rectal exam. A referral for a colonoscopy might be warranted to further evaluate the cause.
Get to the hospital!: Bleeding from the GI tract is never normal, but severe bleeding can be life-threatening. Lots of possibilities here, some of which can be very serious. Get to the emergency room please so the severity and cause of your bleeding can be determined, and the bleeding corrected.
Numerous: From hemorrhoids, fissures, fistulae, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulosis, to polyps, tumors benign or malignant. Also meckel's diverticulum, and upper GI sources such as ulcers and gastritis and tumors benign or malignant. No bleeding is normal. Get properly evaluated by a GI doctor or colorectal surgeon or at least by your primary care doctor. Do not ignore rectal bleeding.
