I Blink A Lot More Than Other People Is That Sign Of Something More Serious
Perhaps: If you mean they bulge forward, then perhaps. It may be one eye or both eyes. A history of thyroid disorder may be relevant. Some people just have naturally bulgy eyes and this can be seen from old photos. Va visit to an ophthalmologist can help clarify some of this and the amount of proptosis can be measured and tracked. ...Read more
Is PMS ever an indication of something more serious? Can PMS ever indicate something that is more serious going on like bi-polar?
Yes: I have seen patients who have been diagnosed as just having pms when, in fact, bipolar disorder was the correct diagnosis. It is an important distinction because pms is often treated with an ssri medication, and bipolar disorder shouldn't be. Bring this question to the attention of your doctor, especially if you are already taking an antidepressant. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

What causes a fetus to be more active in some women more than others? Like pokes, kicks, rolls that can be seen on the outside.
Human nature: Each baby has its own personality. Some move a lot and some do not. This is true in utero just as it as after birth. Some people are couch potatoes and others are very active. I'm making a lot of abnormal mistakes when speaking. Also concerning over weird lumps on scalp. Could it be something else than anxiety?
Speech issues: Making word mistakes may reflect your level of fatigue. How much sleep are you getting? If you are not getting 7 hours of sleep or are not eating properly and have low blood sugar, you may be tired, and your thoughts can be disordered or speech can be altered. Regarding the lumps on your head, perhaps sebaceous cysts, or other skin conditions. The two issues are not related in my opinion. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I am getting headaches more frequently, is this due to allergies or is this something more serious?
Many headache causes: There are many things that could be causing worsening headaches, some of which are quite serious. Allergy can sometimes contribute to headaches by blocking sinuses. Dr. Pappas! so are you saying Zoloft (sertraline) causes dizziness in less than 10% of people or more than 10% of people? And is it really bad dizziness? Spinning?
Zoloft (sertraline): Pre-marketing studies of zoloft (sertraline) (another source) showed 12% of people had "dizziness" (not characterized further as "vertigo" or "spinning, " etc). The source i first quoted said more than 10%, which is close to this 12% figure. These figures would also leave ~90% of people who did not experience dizziness. If ~12% of patients in pre-marketing studies had dizziness, 88% did not. Big majority. ...Read more

Is it true that you may get even more pimples/skin problems if you take a full bath more than daily? I am asking this because the water is quite salty
No: This is just one more bit of folklore. Instead, i'd urge you to have your acne treated scientifically. If two weeks on benzoyl peroxide has not worked, or you have acne on your trunk, get with your physician. A topical or systemic antibiotic will usually clear you, or for severe / cystic acne, a dermatology consultation is in order. ...Read more
What is the medical explanation for why some peoples vision is better than others. Am i just born with bad eyes? Or a dysfunction while developing?
Few are perfect. : Vision is determined by the shape and clarity of the lens and cornea and the length of the eye. In addition there ha to be normal retina and optic nerve. I see hundreds of patients where these are not normal. Most commonly people are myopic-the eye is long and people need glasses. Very few are perfect. They just put up with less than perfect vision and don't wear glasses. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
