Probably allergy but: See an allergist for a complete but simple evaluation. They can tell you the causes of your runny nose and give effective treatment. (even if turns out not to be "non-allergic" runny nose).

Depends: Both are symptoms of a common cold and can appear at different times, but do not mean it is getting worse. However, if the symptoms are lasting more than 7-10 days or there are additional symptoms including, but not limited to such as fever, difficulty breathing, wheezing, I would recommend seeing a pediatrician.

Ived been having a runny nose and have been sneezing for over a week but its only on one side of my nose could it be allergies?

Ived been having a runny nose and have been sneezing for over a week but its only on one side of my nose could it be allergies?

Absolutely: Have you ever had this before? Does the plugging ever go away or switch sides? Look up the local pollen counts in phoenix and see what is blooming now. Any chance it is an infection? If simple allergies, would get into an allergist to find out what u r allergic to as well as to get on an excellent nasal hygiene regimen.

Been having a runny nose bad cough especially at night, Claritin (loratadine) hasn't been working. No fever, no chills, just cough and runny nose. What should I do?

Been having a runny nose bad cough especially at night, Claritin (loratadine) hasn't been working. No fever, no chills, just cough and runny nose. What should I do?

See doctor: Post-nasal drips is likely the most common cause for a chronic cough but you will need to be checked out for asthma also. Nasal steroid is usually more effective than Claritin in reducing the nasal symptoms -> improvement in your cough if asthma is not present. If your nasal discharge is often discolored, then sinusitis needs be ruled out.

Can sinusitis cause brain swelling or a serous dealth problem I've been having a runny nose & watery eyes & lightheaded I'm worried?

Can sinusitis cause brain swelling or a serous dealth problem I've been having a runny nose & watery eyes & lightheaded I'm worried?

Sinus complications: All paranasal sinuses except maxillary have surfaces that directly abut the layers of bone separating them from the brain and its linings. Brain, epidural, & subdural abscesses & meningitis can all result from sinus infection, as well as thromboses of venous sinuses of the brain. Have seen all of these. Although infrequent they do occur. Roof of maxillary sinus is floor of the orbit of eye.

For the past few months I have been constantly sneezing and having a runny nose. No other symptoms. Possible causes?

Allergy: It's likely you are suffering from seasonal allergy to local pollens. No need to suffer. You can try over the counter non-drowsy antihistamines. If no relief, see doctor for evaluation and treatment.

Nonallergic rhinitis: Nonallergic rhinitis due to sensitive nerve endings in the nose is a variable and intermittent condition of the nose that can occur at any age but for some reason is also common in young women. It is often triggered by changes in the air which can include temperature, humidity, dust, smoke, odors, fragrances and the like. It could also be due to underlying allergies which make it more sensitive

Is been two day two much runny nose and watery eys how it will be gone?

?? Allergies??: Please re-phrase your question. It sounds like you are having allergy symptoms. There is no specific time course for when they will get better or go away. Seeing an allergy specialist might help but I would start with my primary care doctor.

My 4mth old son has had a runny nose and cough for a week. Been taking medicine. Cough getting worse. What could it be?

My 4mth old son has had a runny nose and cough for a week. Been taking medicine. Cough getting worse. What could it be?

What medicines??: There are NO cough/cold medicines approved for babies as young as yours. Please see your pediatrician ASAP for evaluation and to discuss appropriate interventions for a 4 month old. Saline nasal drops with bulb suctioning, cool mist humidifier in the baby's room are the usual starting points for managing a cold. If that is not adequate then further assessment by your child's doctor is required.

Blood?: Dark debris from the nose is likely environmental (smoke, soot, etc), or might be dried blood. Is it unilateral or bilateral? Have you recently had a sinus infection? If it persists, you should have a thorough ENT examination, to rule out a more serious etiology.

If I have runny nose, does that mean that my immune system is not good?

No: Runny nose is almost always a sign of inflammation of the nasal mucosa, due to allergies, infections or irritants such as smoke. Runny nose most commonly indicates that the person has a condition affecting his/her nose, but is not specific by itself.

My one year old has been having congestion nd runny nose for about two months already. Is it normal?

My one year old has been having congestion nd runny nose for about two months already. Is it normal?

It depends: If your child has congestion and runny nose, but is acting well (eating and sleeping well), it may be allergy related. In many parts of the country, spring and fall allergies can be really severe. Give him lots of fluids to keep the mucous loose, suction his nose with saline drops, and use a cool mist humidifier as needed. Call your doctor if he has a fever >101 for >2-3 days, or is acting sick.

I have been really tired and sick lately but I can't get to sleep. I also have a stuffy/runny nose so what should I do?

Stuffy nose probs: Your fatigue and lack of sleep can be from your stuffy nose. See if your doctor can determine why your nose is stuffy. A cold will pass but allergies and sinus infections need to be treated. You should feel better once your nose is better, call your doctor.
