May need evaluation: This may be related to nose bleed going down to your lungs. The most common cause of bleeding from lungs is a coughing spell which can break small blood vessels in the bronchial tubes. If the chest hurts it may suggest bronchitis, angina, chest wall pain, and musculoskeletal pain. Is it tender to touch. Good to know that you do not smoke. Cough: I am less concerned about the tiny amount of blood than the "violent cough" in a 2 month old. If it was just a single incident then ok, but if she is coughing that aggressively regularly she needs to be evaluated. ...Read more

See below: This can be due to two things primarily - especially this time of year. First, if you are using nasal steroids, that increases the risk of nosebleeds, even minor. Second, if you live in a cold climate (especially this week), then heat will dry out the air you breathe which can dry out your nasal passages causing it to be more prone to bleeding. Please get checked: If you have some phlegm with blood in it, you need to see a doctor. Tuberculosis can be tricky-especially in the Philippines where there is a lot of it. Do you have any fevers? What about appetite or weight loss? Those are symptoms of TB. Sometimes TB can be resistant to medications, and I wonder if you took all the medicine you were prescribed? Hope you feel better. Spitting out: Small amount of blood is ok due to irritation in the nasal mucosa. Colds, flu, allergies, sinus congestion can be a factor.Blowing nose hard and picking on your nose can do it too. ...Read more

Maybe,maybe not: Adults get RSV rather often but seldom have any lower airway problems like small babies.Their immune system has built up some resistance to the germ over time and an infection limited to the nose & throat are common.
