Unlikely kidneystone: Kidney stone pain usually in flank or side of back or low abdomen on side. His pain is more likely GI in origin, gerd, peptic ulcer or hiatal hernia. Could also be from his vitamin d ;/or acetaminophen. ...Read more

Many possibilities: Well there can be similarities with a kidney stone one would find blood in the urine. I assume since you had a urinalysis that you had a medical evaluation. I would recommend that you evaluate those areas of your anatomy close to the area you have your symptoms this could be the chestwall, lungs, the abdomen. Kidney stone : Cataflam (diclofenac) is not particularly useful for kidney stones. It has significant GI side effects. If your stone is passing through the ureter, prostaglandin inhibitors can be helpful in preventing or relieving colic pain. Most urologists would prefer toradol or Ibuprofen for this effect. All drugs in this NSAID category can cause GI upset. If your stone is non-obstructing (in kidney) none are useful. ...Read more
