Taking iron?: Black stools, in pregnancy or not, can be blood or can be from taking iron pills. Most prenatal vitamins have a small amount of iron in them. If you recently started taking iron pills that is likely the cause. Not necessarily: Measurement late in pregnancy aren't always very accurate and if the baby is cephalic (head down) it can be quite difficult to get an accurate head measurement. I : I am sorry that you are so uncomfortable and having difficulty sleeping at this stage of pregnancy. Having a cold and congestion can cause swollen nasal passageways and difficulty for patients who are trying to lay flat and sleep. Propping themselves up on pillows can be helpful in that situation. If a patient who is pregnant has a change in fetal movement pattern, it is reasonable to notify their physician of that. Sometimes it can be helpful to increase dietary consumption such as juice/snacks and see if that helps also. As pregnancy progresses, most woman are more comfortable on their side.
