Is lower back pain near pelvic area normal, and how will I know if burning in vagina area is already UTI w/o urinalysis in 31 weeks pregnancy?

You can't know: For sure without an exam and an urinalysis. It is important to get a diagnosis and treatment since you are pregnant. If you can't get to a clinic/lab over the weekend, you can drink lots of cranberry juice. You can also clean yourself off VERY well, go into a clean cup or jar and check for any odor. Leave it at room temp overnight, if not infected, it should still be clear and nearly odorless. ...Read more

1 cm dilated: If you are 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced then you are at risk for preterm labor. Normally your doctor would give you steroids to help the fetal lungs develop. Some doctors would have you on bedrest at home or in the hospital. Some would do a test called a FFN (fetal fibronectin). IF you are now having pain then you should be evaluated in labor and delivery immediately for preterm labor. ...Read more
