NOT ONLY CALORIES!!!: If you are not taking enough thyroid medication or aren ot taking the correct type of thyroid medication, you will not lose weight because you will not burn calories normally if you do not have enough thyroid to govern your metabolism! ideally, you should eminiate carbs and live only on proteins and fats. Further caloric restriction would help and you should consult a dietitian to ensure adequate intake of essential nutrients while further reducing your caloric intake. Change it up: Weight loss is about diet and exercise. May need to switch things up. The calorie count isn't nearly as important as what you're eating. Limit carbs and eliminate sugar. Some people just are not runners. If you can't get your heart rate up and keep it up for at least 30 minutes per session, you probably need to change to something like interval training. ...Read more
