Difficult issue: I trust that you are taking replacement medication for thyroid deficiency and are meticulous about calorie count. Further caloric restriction would help and you should consult a dietitian to ensure adequate intake of essential nutrients while further reducing your caloric intake. I understand that further reducing caloric intake is easier said than done. ...Read more

Change it up: Weight loss is about diet and exercise. May need to switch things up. The calorie count isn't nearly as important as what you're eating. Limit carbs and eliminate sugar. If : If your thyroid levels are well controlled on your current dosage, you are like a normal person. The only concern would be if the absorption of the thyroid were affected by the fiber; that's not an issue if you take your thyroid pill on an empty stomach. There are no easy answers to losing weight. I have not heard of shinny fiber. Lowering calories and increasing activity are the keys to weight loss. There are a few other guidelines. If your caloric deficit is about 400 calories you'll lose about 3-4 lbs per week, which is sustainable. Have your thyroid levels checked as a low free T4 will make it harder to lose weight; it has to be consistently low, however. Use HealthTap Prime for more info. good Luck! ...Read more
