Usually not: Usually not, unless the medication caused the eye to be more dry. More likely it is dry due to the environment or the thyroid condition it's self. It is possible you are developing graves ophthalmopathy (a condition associated with thyroid problems). ...Read more
Had Graves' disease 28 years ago, now hypothyroidism. My eyes get a lot of pressure behind them. Eyelids open during the night. Painful.
With hypothyroidism, your metabolism slows and your mucous can be dry and thickened which frequently blocks the ostia of your sinuses. These small openings connect to the atmosphere. Blocking them raises the pressure in your sinuses and gives you that feeling behind your eyes. Symptoms and disease: Hi. There is no symptom specific for a disease, and no disease specific to a symptom. Are tour thyroid tests normal on your thyroid hormone replacement dose? Yes, over diagnosed: Hi. Based on what you've told us, there is no reason to suspect you're hypothyroid. How long have you been on the l-thyroxine? It is most likely you have no thyroid disease and are being treated with l-thyroxine needlessly. Are your thyroid autoantibodies positive? Even if so, decision to treat is based on TSH and free T4. Good luck! ...Read more

Adrenal fatigue: A very low cortisol could be addison’s disease (adrenal failure) but this is relatively rare, although slightly more common with hypothyroid.
