Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

Assuming...: Hi. I hate to assume, but must. I assume your hypothyroidism is treated and that on treatment, your thyroid function is normal. That would eliminate thyroid as a cause of your amenorrhea. Untreated hypothyroidism can cause hyperprolactinemia in some people, which can cause amenorrhea, but I won't assume that. No period = hormonal: Hypothyroidism by itself, if not adequately treated and excessive training by itself can lead to hormonal imbalances which can make you miss your cycle. Take your medicine.: If you have PCOS, you probably aren't ovulating. If you aren't ovulating, you don't make Progesterone the A at half of your cycle like you should.
