My dr prescribed prednisone 5mg twice daily for bronchitis. I take sinthroid 25mg for my hypothyroidism. Is it safe? I'm coughing and wheezing a lot.

Wheezing treatment: It is safe to take both medications together. There are no interactions between them. 10 mg total daily Prednisone is a low dose. You might need a higher dose if you are still wheezing. I assume you are taking antibiotic for bronchitis too. Talk to your doctor if wheezing persists and you don't get better. He or she might need to reevaluate your symptoms. ...Read more
