It is a common cause of dry tickle cough, chronic sore throat, lump in the the throat , post nasal drip,phlegm in the throat, and throat clearing. Viral infection?: All of your symptoms combined are suspicious for a viral infection. Have you been around any sick persons or started any new medicines as of late? Anything possible: But you have already been extensively evaluated without discovery of anything suspicious, and a proposed diagnosis has been made. Cancer is highly improbable - but if you are a drinker, smoker, chew tobacco or have HPV infection you should be rechecked with regularity, perhaps yearly. ...Read more
