If a blood alcohol test is taken, but the sample is not tested for 5 weeks, is the test still accurate? Can the sample deteriorate?

Labs and Liability: If a lab is testing a sample and reporting a result then it has significant liability if the sample is not appropriate for testing. I would bet that the sample tested is accurate if the lab is willing to report the results. ...Read more

Blood alcohol test for my probation how far does the test go back.

Blood alcohol test for my probation how far does the test go back.

Aprox. 2 days: Alcohol has an approximate detection time of 12-24 hours in urine. People who achieve a moderate level of intoxication (0.10% blood alcohol content - bac) are detectable about 8 hours after achieving that level. The interesting fact is that alcohol is absorbed into the blood relatively quickly and metabolized more slowly. ...Read more

How long does it take after having one beer to have a negative blood alcohol test?

How long does it take after having one beer to have a negative blood alcohol test?

A short time: one beer will rarely raise the blood alcohol level to more than 10 mg percent (0.1 grams percent), and we metabolize that amount in about one hour. So two hours or so after drinking the alcohol level should be zero. However, there are other tests, like ethyl glucuronide and ethyl sulfide, which test alcohol metabolites and they can remain positive for 1-2 days, depending on the test used. ...Read more

24-48 hours & YES!: 3 cups of vodka is about 24 shots - or 24 drinks and it takes roughly 1-2 hours for a drink to clear the averge persons body or longer for females. 3 cups of vodka at one time would most likely kill you or at least take you to the hospital with alcohol poisining & a pumping of your stomach. I had my last alcoholic drink 13 hours ago. I had to have a blood alcohol test at the hospital laboratory on the 13th hour. Will the alcohol show up?

Probably yes: Alcohol has an approximate detection time of 12-24 hours in urine in routine tests. The detection time for alcohol depends upon the maximum level of blood alcohol content (bac) achieved and varies by individual. People who achieve intoxication of 0.10% bac are detectable about 8 hours after achieving that level. However, there are high sensitivity tests (etg) that can detect for days after. ...Read more

Intestinal yeast infection and false breathalyzer reading need to know if intestinal yeast infection can increase reading of blood alcohol concentration reading (bac) during police breathalyzer test?

I had some wine but was not drunk and driving when the

No, it doesnt: This is almost entirely fiction, based on one case of someone with a very unusual yeast species which was fermenting alcohol. But even if it was that, you are still responsible for driving while impaired. If your level was over 0.8, you were legally intoxicated (0.5 for those less than 21). If you did not feel intoxicated, it means you were tolerant and clearly have an alcohol problem get help! ...Read more
