Yes: You need to see an immunologist /allergist and will likely require gammaglobulin replacement on a regular basis if the gammaglobulin level is very low. I suspect that you have rather low energy level as well. ...Read more

Medical Clearance.: Patients who have “medical conditions” should have these conditions under good control prior to undergoing elective surgery. Therefore, best to be evaluated by your internist to check how well these conditions are “optimized” and whether you are a good candidate to proceed with elective surgery. It is very likely that your plastic surgeon will ask for this medical clearance. Best wishes. ...Read more

Prednisone x 2 yrs and Arava x 4 mos for suspected PMR. Now with hypogammaglobulinemia and albuminuria. Could medicines be the cause?

Prednisone x 2 yrs and Arava x 4 mos for suspected PMR. Now with hypogammaglobulinemia and albuminuria. Could medicines be the cause?

Doubtful: PMR usually responds beautifully to prednisone therapy. I doubt that either arava or prednisone are the cause of albuminuria or hypogammaglobulinemia. Perhaps an evaluation by a nephrologist is in order but your rheumatologist can better advise you on this matter. Your pharmacist may be able to obtain more information about whether arava can produce kidney damage. ...Read more

Is there any help for someone with hypogammaglobulinemia, ocd, granuloma at lung, hypersomnia and getting weaker n sicker evey day low g, m, a

There: There is no single diagnosis I can come up with to explain all your symptoms. Sounds like you may have common variable immunodeficiency which increases your risk of sinus and lung infections. I suggest regular follow up care with an immunologist/allergist. That would be a good start. Travel to such a specialist if one is not in your area. Good luck. ...Read more

Needs more info: Difficult to say based on limited info. High MCV likely due to low folate (folic acid) (did you check b12?). Low BUN is good, so no worries. If you have a clavicular lymph node it needs evaluation for sure. See your doctor! ...Read more
