What do you suggest if my friend has a nodule on the right upper lobe & a hypodense lesion on her right thyroid lobe, so does?
Hypodense nodule in right thyroid bed. 11mm x 9mm significance is unknown. Nonspecific lymph nodes. What are chances this could be cancerous?
Is a hypodense lesion on the thyroid cancerous? I had an angiogram and it found a hypodense lesion on the left lobe of my thyroid gland.
I had total thyroidectomy. Hypodense nodule right thyroid bed 11mm by 9mm. Significance uncertain. Nonspecific lymph nodes. Could this be cancerous?
Possibly: The total thyroidectomy was performed for a lesion in the thyroid that was not a goiter. That signifies that the lesion removed by the procedure had a potential for malignancy. Frozen section usually performed would inform surgeon of pathology and as such if Ca, a lymph node dissection would have been performed. If no Ca then any lesion in the bed is benign but should be followed. ...Read more

See your doctor: You were obviously diagnosed with breast cancer at a very young age (23) which is always concerning and puts you at risk for other cancers just by being a cancer survivor yourself. You shouldn't ignore any new findings like this. A biopsy might be necessary to rule out a second cancer especially if you received radiation to the chest/neck area. Please see your doctor. ...Read more

PTU (propylthiouracil) and liver: Drugs like ptu (propylthiouracil) and Methimazole can cause liver toxicity but hyperthyroidism can also cause elevation int the liver enzyme test you had done.
