This could mean Hashimotos, and the US is consistent with that. See endocrinologist: It is unclear why these studies are being done, especially if thyroid blood tests are normal. You should see an endocrinologist to have him/her interpret these tests. That ultrasound is consistent with hashimotos thyroiditis. ...Read more

Could be Hashimoto's: Is the gland normal is size or enlarged? If normal-sized, could be hashimoto's. If enlarged it could be grave's disease, both of which are autoimmune diseases. She should find out if she's hypo- or hyperthyroid and have additional testing to see if she has hashimoto's. ...Read more
