Illogical question: Hi. You said it (correctly); Botox and hyperthyroidism are not related. Is can just as easily and accurately be said that Botox does not PREVENT hyperthyroidism. There are several causes of hyperthyroidism, most likely Graves' disease (autoimmune), subacute thyroiditis (self limited course of hyperthyroidism), and a benign hyperfunctioning tumor (not so common). Wait your doctor: will explain to you , unusual , thyroid nodule that will cause difficulty in swallowing , even huge goiters will not , but some times possible surgery done for malignancy , most likely your doctor will aspirate the cyst test for malignant cells ( FNA biopsy ) and treat you with medications , look for other causes for your swallowing problem. ...Read more
