Could adrenals and other hormone imbalances cause hyperthyroid every year for 4, 5 mos and normalizes by itself. When thyroid is normal-feel unwell.Pls?
I have post partum hyperthyroidism. I'm extremely symptomatic. My blood pressure is 90/60. The Endo thinks it cld be my adrenals causing this?
Could be...: Based on that info, what I can say is that it's true that the functioning of the thyroid and adrenals are closely intertwined. The low blood pressure despite the fast thyroid make me think that perhaps there could be a component of adrenal hypo functioning along with the thyroid hyper functioning. Not for hyper: Adding thyroid hormone replacement to a hyperthyroid gland will exacerbate the problem. If there is underlying adrenal insufficiency, adrenal crisis is more likely to occur in someone with hyperthyroidism.
