Yes: Hyperthyroidism can affect the eye muscles which become inflamed and can cause pain and protrusion fo the eye called exophthalmos. Occasionally the intraocular pressure may go up causing headache and aching of the eyes so you should have an eye exam. See eye MD: If you are concerned about this, then see an ophthalmologist for evaluation. A tumor is unlikely, and 1 mm of bulging is not much and nearly impossible to measure accurately. ...Read more

See ophthalmologist: Did you see an ophthalmologist? Did you complain about bulging eye? We normally don't measure the eyes in that way, as many people normally have "bulging eyes" unless it was something new, and its sooo subjective, 1mm difference btn eyes is not very significant... unless you have other symptoms consistent with Graves Eye Diseases, which by the way doesn't require and abnormal Thyroid... ...Read more

Hyperthyroid: The two medications that you are hopefully taking are Methimazole and a beta blocker (propranolol, metoprolol, atenolol, etc).
