I have this deep pimple like thing on my butt cheek. On pantypanty line and very painful. Pic on profile.Had white top, popped, bloody white pus.

Boil (abscess): You're probably describing a boil or minor skin abscess (pocket of pus). As long as it's drained, you should be fine. But watch out for any surrounding redness or worsening pain. Obviously fevers, sweats & chills are a bad sign. If possible, take a ball point pen to the area & make a tight circle around it. Then date & time it for comparison later. If redness extends beyond, then you need 2 go 2er. ...Read more

Pain in right abdomen and flank back. Hurts worse at night. Have had tons of tests/scans/images (in profile). What could it be?

You tweaked your back: . If all of your tests are normal. If there is nothing broke. If there is nothing abnormal in your laboratory. If all your lab and x-ray are normal I suggest you see either a chiropractor or a good doctor of osteopathic medicine. Physician profile pages on healthtap have medical specialties next to the word "board certified, " such as "pulmonology, board certified." this means?

I have hypocholesterolemia, total was 76, LDL 22, HDL 49 on last test. Dr just sent for vap profile. How will this test help to diagnose why it is low?

I have hypocholesterolemia, total was 76, LDL 22, HDL 49 on last test. Dr just sent for vap profile. How will this test help to diagnose why it is low?

?: If you're feeling ok and have no other risk factors for disease, there is really no need for a vap test here. The vap is usually used to risk stratify those patients who have other risk factors (such as hypertension, family history of heart disease, etc.) but have a normal-looking lipid profile. I am not sure why the vap test is ordered, but your profile is not considered "abnormal". ...Read more
