I'd elevated TSH;around 18, taking eltroxin 100 mcg daily, it's under control now but I look bloated, height 5.7", 145 lbs, age 29. What is wrong here?
Hypothyroidism: Eltroxin (levothyroxine) is used for hypothyroidism. If your TSH is 18, then you probably need an increase in dose of your eltroxin, although 100 mcg is probably enough to make you feel better, but a dose that normalizes your TSH will make you feel normal. Make sure you take it on an empty stomach and without hot liquids. See your doctor. ...Read more

Keep going : The current weight is not provided, but if not at ideal body weight, further weight will likely help. Weight and diet are two pieces of the puzzle. Environmental factors and genetics predisposition are others. Blood pressure of 160/100 is hi for a 29 year old and most would start blood pressure medications at this point. I exercise 50-90 minutes a day, eat clean food, never exceed 1600 calories and I cannot stop gaining weight. (174 cm; 64 kg). It is slow, but constant?
Something amiss: Based on your age, gender, weight and height your basal metabolic rate is around 1400 cal/day: thats what you need just to live without moving at all! Odds are you burn more than 200 cal just moving about, without including your exercise. So either something awry with you metabolism and/or your estimated caloric intake.
