Coccyxdynia: The pain you have in tailbone is called coccyxdynia. This is common in people who sit a lot especially in rode/exercise bikes. It is caused by the continued pressure in that area. One will have to avoid sitting until the pain is relieved, ice, take NSAIDS ie aleve (naproxen) 2 tablets 2x per day with meals. Consider finding an extra cushion for that exercise bike or finding a new bike in the future. ...Read more

Sitting is really hard on arthritic knees because it causes pressure in one spot on the damaged cartilage. Changing the position of your knees can help. Can you adjust your workstation to stand?
