What are the benefits of taking collagen capsules? 4 capsules daily. Hydrolyzed marine collagen and elastin polypeptides.
Not much evidence: There aren't a lot of studies out that have tested the health effects of all these collegen supplements. One study found that it does not really help with bone health, and another showed some preservation of lean body mass in older women but no skin improvement. It seems that elastin skin products have not shown clinically to improve elasticity of the skin but do help the skin hold moisture. ...Read more

Which ingredient is the best way fight wrinkles? Retinol, peptides, collagen, stem cells, plancenta, amino acids or vitamin C
Growth factors: We have known since the 70s that retinoids and retinols are great collagen stimulators (which equals wrinkle fighters). In this century, we developed collagen growth factors which are derived from actual human skin and are necessary for collagen to thrive, thus reducing and eliminating wrinkles. Note i did not say "appearance of wrinkles". Skinmedica is my favorite product to contain these. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
DERMATOLOGISTS: Will taking collagen capsules help with fine lines over time? Ingredients:hydrolyzed marine collagen, elastin polypeptides
I really doubt it.: Protein is digested and absorbed. It's doubtful that a small amount of a particular protein is going to be 'special' compared to a burger. Less collagen, degraded protein loss of subcutaneous fat are aging features that promote crow's feet and specific dietary proteins just aren't going to change any of that. ...Read more

All of those products are poorly studied and there is very little responsible, independent testing to determine if they actually work or if they may have side effects, or harm fetuses. Also the companies have different ways of making up these pills. Save your money and spend it on plenty of fruits and veggies instead. ...Read more
Probably not: Acne is a chronic disease with exacerbations and remissions. The key isn't to look to what might trigger it, but to learn how to use today's medications to keep it at bay. Can taking bovine colostrum increase plasma immunoglobulin levels, thereby masking an underlying immunoglobulin deficiency by altering blood tests?
Unlikely: Very thoughtful idea. Unfortunately, the bovine immunoglobins are too large to be absorbed from the intestine and would be digested by stomach and intestinal juices and enzymes. With use you would be providing body with raw materials for making your own immunoglobulins, but at a cost. Any "complete" proteins from eggs or milk could provide the same protein precursors and support good health. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
