Hydrogen Peroxide Kills Yeast Infections
Hydrogen peroxide 3%: Is the usual strength sold in stores. Over time, the 3% medication can change the balance of microbes in your mouth & you can develop an overgrowth inbalance of candida albacans (yeast). Not sure about 1%. Taste buds will not be "killed" either way. Please get counsel from your dentist on the use of peroxide and his or her opinion on yeast overgrowth with 1% rinse. ...Read more

I have been having symptoms of bv or a yeast infection so I tried the method of a hydrogen peroxide douche. Could I get an air embolism from this?
No air embolism, but: ...something doesn't compute. BV and yeast cause quite different symptoms; they are rarely confused with one another. BV symptoms are mostly odor and discharge, without irritation or itching. Yeast mostly causes irritation and redness, with scant white discharge, or none, and little or no odor. Douching with H2O2 (or anything else) is ineffective for both and can be dangerous in BV. See a doctor. ...Read more

I have an esophagal yeast infection I'm taking medications to kill the bacteria but I still seem to be feeling worse why?
This is perhaps due to a few things. However most likely is what is called a jarrish herxheimer reaction, which is the body cleaning out the debris from the die off of all the yeast. This usually just lasts a few days and you will start to feel better.
The other possibility is a reaction to the medication. Depending on which medication you are taking, it could be affecting your liver. ...Read more
Recurrent yeast infection 4 more than a month. Took one dose fluconazole 3 days ago but still have slight burning. Can I take another dose to kill it?
Just the opposite: Doxycycline has no effect on yeast. In fact, by suppressing normal bacteria, doxy can promote growth of yeasts. If you think you have a yeast infection, for sure don't treat yourself with doxycycline. If you need doxycycline for another reason (chlamydia, for example) and believe you might also have a yeast infection, talk to your doctor about adding anti-yeast treatment. ...Read more

Rarely if ever: By "turn into a disease", I suspect you're asking whether there are any complications or serious health problems from vaginal yeast infections. This could happen -- e.g. spread of yeast to the kidneys, or getting into the bloodstream (sepsis, "blood poisoning"). But these are extremely rare and occur only in people with other life threatening problems like advanced cancer on potent chemotherapy. ...Read more
