Hydrogen peroxide 3%: Is the usual strength sold in stores. Over time, the 3% medication can change the balance of microbes in your mouth & you can develop an overgrowth inbalance of candida albacans (yeast). Not sure about 1%. Taste buds will not be "killed" either way. Please get counsel from your dentist on the use of peroxide and his or her opinion on yeast overgrowth with 1% rinse. ...Read more

No air embolism, but: ...something doesn't compute. BV and yeast cause quite different symptoms; they are rarely confused with one another. BV symptoms are mostly odor and discharge, without irritation or itching. Yeast mostly causes irritation and redness, with scant white discharge, or none, and little or no odor. Douching with H2O2 (or anything else) is ineffective for both and can be dangerous in BV. See a doctor. ...Read more

Jarrish-Herxheimer: This is perhaps due to a few things. However most likely is what is called a jarrish herxheimer reaction, which is the body cleaning out the debris from the die off of all the yeast. This usually just lasts a few days and you will start to feel better.
