Yes, but...: As stated, you should not poke the area with a needle. You want to keep it as clean as possible and hydrogen peroxide is ok, but if it gets infected, you may need an antibiotic. If it is not getting better, you should see your doctor to have it looked at and get the proper treatment. Good luck. ...Read more

Is it okay to mix colloidal silver and hydrogen peroxide for an ear infection?

Is it okay to mix colloidal silver and hydrogen peroxide for an ear infection?

I have been having symptoms of bv or a yeast infection so I tried the method of a hydrogen peroxide douche. Could I get an air embolism from this?

No air embolism, but: No air embolism, but something doesn't compute. BV and yeast cause quite different symptoms; they are rarely confused with one another. BV symptoms are mostly odor and discharge, without irritation or itching. Yeast mostly causes irritation and redness, with scant white discharge, or none, and little or no odor. Douching with H2O2 (or anything else) is ineffective for both and can be dangerous in BV. See a doctor. ...Read more

Wax in ears: Hydrogen peroxide can help loosen wax in the outer ear so it can drain out on its own. Never use q-tips in your ears as they push wax back in. There are little hairs that brush the wax out as long as it is soft and loose- so the peroxide helps with that. It won't prevent middle ear infection- those are behind the ear drum. ...Read more
