Chlecystectomy AND p: When was the cholecystectomy performed? days, months, was it done using endoscopic techniques? If is one month ago by now should not hurt. Is the pain deep inside or towards the muscle?. In any way you will require a CT and rule out a residual hernia, or a common hepatic duct stenosis. take as directed: Ibuprofen tablets are usually 200 mg - and you should check that. A typical dose is 200, 400, or 600 mg at one time, and i can not tell from your question whether you took "3 ibuprofins" each time, or "1" each time. In any case, Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) should not be a problem in addition to the ibuprofen, if it was prescribed by your dentist / oral surgeon. Ice helps too! ...Read more

See a pain specialis: Complex regional pain syndrome can be tough to treat. Sometimes nerve blocks can help. Just going up on pain pills will not solve the problem long-term. Ask your primary doctor to refer you to an anesthesiologist, a doctor who specializes in pain management.
