Hydrocodone Oxy Lorazepam Medical Procedure Will Set Recovery
I'm 3 weeks off hydrocodone but have to take 5mg oxy and 1mg lorazepam for a medical procedure, will this set back my recovery?
It could: That early out it could be a trigger for relapse, is the procedure necessary now, could it be done without the percocet, who also is a part of your recovery, does the doctor who is doing the procedure know about your history of addiction? Meaning it can be done but you really need to take a relapse risk seriously. Many have relapse by going into similar senerio all on there own. I threw my back out and was prescribed norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) 5/325 but it gives me anxiety. I also get prescribed lorazepam 1mg. Can I take both?
Technically: I'd suggest taking 1/4 tablet (0.25 mg) of the lorazepam only if you absolutely need to ... This should help the anxiety. These 2 medications do interact negatively and that might cause hypotension, respiratory depression, Motor functions to slow and vasodilation. If you experience any of these alarming symptoms - head to the ER. ...Read more

Recently off librium still have minor withdrawal.Dr gave me 10 ativan (lorazepam) for anxiety said 10 pill taper will not set me back with recovery. Is this true?
Should be Okay: You should be okay to use the Ativan (lorazepam) as recommended to help with any withdrawal symptoms. You may use 1/2 of the Ativan (lorazepam) when needed or follow the instructions given to you by your medical provider. I would avoid alcohol during this time as well. Ativan (lorazepam) and Librium are both benzodiazepines which is why they could both be used in a tapering fashion to help discontinue the librium. Best wishes! ...Read more

I am having a FET on August 12th. Should I stop my adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) (ADHD) and hydrocodone 10/325 (chronic neck pain) before this procedure?
Good idea!: It's a good idea, if circumstances allow. In any case, Discuss it fully w/ your Dr(s). The risks are increased for the baby, but are still not 100% to occur and it could be that the alternative distress is as bad an option. Your case is unique - discuss it well. Good luck - I hope it all goes well. ...Read more
