Nausea differential : At this point a workup for nausea is recommended. Hydrocodone can cause nausea but after a week it is unlikely due to the medication. Of course the question is why did you take 10 pills to begin with- for what diagnosis and was this the dose prescribed? ...Read more

No: Benadryl typically only helps with allergy like symptoms. Nausea is best treated with medicines like Phenergan (promethazine) or zofran. Pain Medication: Pain may be treated in various ways. Opioids, like hydrocodone and Percocet work well around a time of surgery to help deal with acute pain. These medications are poor choices for the long run. Gabapentin and over-the-counters such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen may be good alternatives or supplement the use of opioids. ...Read more
