Your doctor has considered that Cushing's is possible, so has ordered the 24-hour UFC to screen for Cushing's. Good luck! ...Read more

Cortisol test: It would be best to have the 24 hour urine without the drugs for one day but before you do that you must check with your doctor.

It is not very likely that the meds will interfere with the lab but why take the chance before discussing with your doctor. ...Read more

HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) may make: you tired or light headed from low blood pressure. Try cutting your food portions in half and see how that goes for a month. I'm sure you'll see results ...Read more

They are different: Hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) is a mild diuretic that removes sodium from the body causing an increased volume of urine and lowers blood pressure by reducing the volume of 'salt water' in our circulatory system. Lisinopril inhibits a certain specialized chemical reaction in our bodies that leads to a reduced retention of sodium in our bodies but also a reduced tension on our blood vessels, thus lowering blood pressure. ...Read more
