Have type 2 diabetes on metformi what would cause sugar to be 298 then test agin 30min later be 86. Fasting have not taken med yet today.?
Type 2 diabetes:
A drop-in blood sugar from 298 to 86 suggests that there is something wrong with your result.
If it is 298 you MUST see your doctor as soon as possible. In the meantime check your sugar on day 1and repeat it at bedtime. If both results are above 150, you would be wise to go to the Emergency facility if you can't get to your doctor quickly enough.
