My daughter has small itchy red bumps with a kind of scaly or blister like center. She recently had a fever, swollen glands, and sore throat.

Sire throat: If you have a significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see your medical provider ; get a strep throat test ; culture. Saltwater gargles are helpful. Pharyngitis: Likely not strep, but won't know until seen, tested. "white spots" are generally overcalled by the public, and often are due to relatively benign things such as cryptic exudate or normal appearance. Sounds serious: This sounds pretty serious. If you're unable to hold down food (vomiting) then, coupled with a fever, dehydration is possible. 101.6 degF is above the threshold where bacterial infections are possible. Sore throat: Two things come to my mind when patients complain of a sore throat without other symptoms, post nasal drip and early viral infections. Either way, you can try an allergy pill or the new nasal steroid over the counter: nasal cort. I prefer the nasal steroid.
