Well enough: Humira (adalimumab) targets the tumor necrosis factor (tnf) which is involved in inflammation and immune response. However when there is too much, the target may get damaged. Psoriasis involving mainly the skin, phototherapy may be helpful. But for arthritis, Humira (adalimumab) (and other tnf inhibitors) is a good option. Nod to others:: Humira is a tnfa antibody, and is similar to envbrel. Remicade (infliximab) is an antibody to the tnfa receptor, so it works differently. But i would have tried you on leflunomide, and oral drug, before starting biologics. ...Read more

Humira and Methotrexate are not working for my psoriasis. I asked the doctor about Stelara (ustekinumab).  Dr. hasn't seen good results w/other patients on Stelera so doesn't use it. What would you recommend?

STELERA/HUMIRA/METHT: Well if you have no improvement with Humira (adalimumab) and methtrexate, than there is no harm in trying stelera.Discuss with your doctor that it is not working, so what is the harm in trying if stelera will work for you otherwise you can get a second opinion from another dermatologist. ...Read more
