Hsv Result Igg Below Two
Hi, what is that result means? Herpes virus ab profile blood, hsv igg 5.79 unit isr. Hsv Igm result negative/reference range negative..
Whats the meaning of Herpes Type 1 IgG- Serum Positive, Herpes Type 2 IgG - Serum Negative and Herpes 1+2 IgM Ab Serum Negative? Thats my results
HSV1, no HSV2: The results mean you are carrying herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1), usually from oral infection in childhood, so you probably have had it for years. But if you have had symptoms that suggest genital herpes, it could be a genital infection. You do not have HSV2, the usual cause of genital herpes. I takes up to 12 weeks for positive results, so these results do not exclude recent infection. ...Read more
Hsv1 IgG 53.60 high
Hsv 2 IgG <0.91
Hsv IgM I/II combo 1.48 high
What does all this mean? My herpes results from the lab! Doc wasn't helpful
HSV serology: Without knowing specifically what test technique was utilized cannot give you specifics other than to say that you have had Herpes simplex Type 1 infection sometime in the past and probably have not had Type 2, since even though you show some antibody it may be overlap from the Type 1 antibody. Why wasn't the doctor helpful? Talk to them and insist. Why did you do this anyway? ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Received HSV1/2 negative blood test result 9 months post exposure. But HSV2 IGM value is 4 times higher than HSV2 IGG value. What does it mean?
False positive IgM: The IgM HSV blood test is notoriously unreliable. True experts in herpes, STDs, and infectious diseases never order that test and always ignore the results. It commonly gives false positive results, and that's the problem here. If the HSV2 IgG value is negative (under 1.1), then for sure you don't have it and can ignore the IgM result. ...Read more
I have CBC test where monocytes are high, liver enzymes ALT high; also EBV IgG positive, CMV IgG positive CMV IgM normal.. Hiv negative at 32 weeks.
See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it would help to have the actual values of the results. The one item of interest is high ALT. If you drink alcohol, stop entirely for three months and redo the test. Other results are okay. ...Read more
I've been sick for about 3 weeks, mostly fatigue. My EBV levels are VCA IgG 153, VCA IgM <10, early AG IgG 25.7, nuclear antigen IgG 158. Any ideas?
No idea: First you would need to give us more details on the sickness other than just fatigue. The tests you have had are not helpful in making a diagnosis. I would recommend that you consult an internist to get a thorough workup since there are many causes for fatigue= both physiologic and psychologic. ...Read more
Am I herpes negative or positive? HSV 2, IgG result is 1/80 (Ref Range Negative is < 1/40), HSV I, IgG result is 1/80 (Ref Range Negative is < 1/40).
Probably yes, but...: I'm not familiar with HSV blood tests that give results as fractions or titers. With other tests (e.g. HerpeSelect®), any positive HSV1 result usually is valid, but weakly positive results (which is what I suspect is how to interpret your HSV2 result) often are false and require confirmation. In most countries, over half of adults are HSV1 positive, no big deal. But you'll need to clarify HSV2. ...Read more
HSV 1 and 2 IgG are negative but HSV IgM I/II combination came back positive at 2.28. Do I have herpes?
Maybe: The Ig M titer is the titer that shows initial infection, with time it will change to a positive IgG. These of course are lab values. If you have symptoms then it is confirmation of HSV. HSV 1 is oral or common lip blisters. HSV2 is genital herpes. Unusual that both HSV 1 and 2 are turning positive at same time. In any event both are ubiquitous in the population. ...Read more
What does a very high lab result for the VZV IgG 1134 miu ml and a negative VZV IgM means thank u ?
Good protection: A very high level of VZV igg in the blood test means there are lots of antibodies against the chicken pox virus (varicella zoster virus). These antibodies help stop chicken pox viruses from causing an infection in the body, the next time the patient has contact with the virus, such as if she unknowingly plays with a child with chicken pox. Negative igm means that there was no recent VZV infection. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My rubella IgM ELISA value is 0.05 UI/ML, CMV IgM ELISA value is 0.16 UI/ML, CMV IgG value is 6.8 UI/ML, and
Rubella IgG value 39.8 UI/ML. is it safe?
Depends on range: If the IgM values are within the lab's normal range, then this means you have had previous exposure or vaccination. If the IgM is well above the lab's normal range, then possibly you have recently been infected or vaccinated. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests, and make sure to discuss the issue of false positives. ...Read more
My friend test std, results . chlamydia trachomatis positive, abnormal andnon reactive negative. Hsv 2 igG. 2.69. HSV 1 igG. 37.90. the me?
What's the question?: You don't ask a question -- I'm not sure what information you're looking for. These HSV test results are positive for both HSV1 and HSV2. However, when the HSV1 IgG antibody test is very strongly positive and the HSV2 result is much lower, as in your friend, the HSV2 result sometimes is false. Additional testing, preferably with a Western blot test, can sort it out. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Usually yes: Once in a while it takes up to 4 months for the HSV IgG test to become positive. If you had typical herpes symptoms, another test might be a good idea. But if you had no symptoms and you were just looking for reassuance after a high risk exposure, I would recommend against any further testing. ...Read more

Reactivated EBV 9 months after first infection. Could i be immunodeficient? Antibody count: 65 ab VCA igm; 53 ea ab igg; 431 ab VCA igg; 289 ebna igg.
No: Unfortunately ebv stays alive forever in one's lymphocytes and can get activated easily in susceptible people without known immunodeficiency. However you may call that an immunodeficiency given that all people have been infected with it yet only few would have recurrent ebv problem. ...Read more
Don't know: Need to know why the tests were ordered in the first place. If you suffer from recurrent or chronic sinus or lung infections, then even a normal total IgG may not be enough since it is whether your body can produce specific defense against bacterial (qualitative) than the total number (quantitative) that matters most. See an allergist. ...Read more
