Hsv 2 And Male Infertility
Unlikely: The main extragenital complications of gential herpes simplex infection include hsv meningitis and proctitits. I don't know of any occurrences of hsv orchitis in men or involvement of the seminal vesicles, bulbourethrals, or prostate, which may affect male fertility. Similarly, female fertility is unlikely to be affected by hsv alone. The main concern is vertical transmission during pregnancy. ...Read more
I'm very confused. I was just diagnose with hsv 1 IGG 1.29 and hsv 2 IGG 2.86. Don't have and outbreaks and girlfriend is negative. Can this b false?
Probably have HSV2: You probably have HSV1, but so do almost half of all adults, usually no big deal. Probably also have HSV2 (i.e. genital herpes) but maybe not. 1.1 is technically positive for HSV2, but most infected people have results over 3.0. Since 2.86 is close to that, most likely it's real. Genital herpes often causes no symptoms but still sexually transmissible. See an STD or infectious diseases specialist. ...Read more

16YR old MALE. Hypogonadism, micropenis. No signs of low testost as of last 2 tests (in '13+'14). Pls help with test etc. 2 get done. I'm on opioids?
Although obesity &: opiates can impair testosterone & sperm production, seek referral to an endocrinologist who can find the cause of your congenital or acquired primary (testicular) or secondary (hypothalamic or pituitary) hypogonadism & obesity. After a history & physical, you'll have a Chromosome Analysis, maybe a Chromosomal Microarray, FSH, LH & other hormone levels + other lab & X-ray studies as indicated. ...Read more
Does HIV treatment can lover our testesteron levels I am under treatment 1 year 26 yrs old malehow HIV treatment can eeffect our male hormons.
Usually not: I'm really glad that you've been diagnosed and are under treatment. Most men have enough testosterone on board that they are "maxed out", especially at your age. If things are slowing down sexually for you and it's a problem, it's worth discussing with your physician. The best measure is how you respond to your favorite images / films / ideas. Best wishes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
How often should I take the pap? I'm 22, sexually active since 15y/o, 4 partners. Done 3 paps (normal) already and currently in 2 year relationship.
Culture + hsv-1 genital. Blood test 3 wk later hsv-1: 2.21 hsv-2: >5.00. Possible both are genital? Higher antibodies in hsv-2 mean older infection?
An hep b/c transmit between 2 men having anal sex & both men r uninfected with hep b/c? That is can anal sex between uninfected person cause hep b/c?
Hepatitis: Hepatitis b and c are viruses that are transmitted from an infected person to an unifected person. They do not "come out of nowhere". However, it can be difficult to determine when a person became infected, as it is often asymptomatic for long periods of time before detection. ...Read more
Does HIV treatment can lower our testeron level how it can effect male hormones .. I am 26 yrs old male 1 year under HIV treatment?
HIV &Testosterone: Yes and no. The bigger problem i see in my HIV positive patients is their substance abuse and the over use of anabolic steroids. If you are avoiding all other hormone blocking substances or supplements then at 26 this is not something i would be that concerned about. I begin testing my HIV positive guys at least once their first year of infection and then after forty I do this regularly. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My HSV 1 + 2 IgM 0.50 and HSV 1 + 2 IgG serum 24.28 but not mention which hsv 1 or 2 I little confused why they not mention?? I am from India
HSV blood tests: You have HSV1, 2, or both. Ignore the IgM results. HSV IgM antibody in theory detects early infection, but the test is inherently very unreliable. Also, IgM antibody never tells HSV1 from HSV2. Some IgG antibody tests also do not differentiate HSV1 from 2, and that seems to be the case here. Ask your doctor about having a type specific IgG test that accurately measures antibody to both HSV1 & 2. ...Read more
Health good no scalp infection, illness.Did excessive ejaculation of sperm fr 2 yrs increase testosterone level very high cause baldness at age20?
No: So testosterone (t) is converted into dihydrotestosterone (dht) which is can cause hair loss. Therefore, higher t might lead to higher dht. But those w/normal t can have relatively higher dht, too. Don't forget that genetics has a big factor in hair loss (think male pattern baldness) so look at your dad, his brothers (your uncles), your dad's dad, etc, & your brothers. Medications can lower dht. ...Read more

Can hep b/c transmit between 2 men having anal sex & both men r uninfected with hep b/c? That is can anal sex between uninfected person cause hep b/c?
No: If every one in the group having anal sex is truly not infected at that time, no one would get hep b/c. The problem arises that if they were tested 4 weeks ago or a week ago & had sex after that with some one + then you are at risk no matter what the test showed. Also condoms are not 100% protection. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I'm obese an obese male, and my low testosterone levels are 90 ng/dl. How can I possible have EXTREMELY dense facial hair, and chest hair, + lowlevel?
Common. Simplistic: concepts are routinely marketed because people like simple & will commonly buy based on such. Control of hair growth is complex & not that well understood; thus varies widely across the skin and between people, widely varying from the few hormones known involved. Regarding testosterone, it is not the testosterone concentration in blood that counts but dihydrotesterone within hair follicles. etc. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
