Hs Tsh Thyroid Range
We have case , femal patien , age 60 years, the TSH less than 0.05 while T4 in normal range , and she has not any symptom of thyroidism , is it ok ?
Subclinical hyperthy: A low TSH with a normal T4 and no symptoms is usually subclinical hyperthyroidism. She may have a multinodular goiter that is autonomously functioning, or very early graves disease. A T3 level and free T4 level should be checked. There is a higher risk of developing atrial fibrillation despite the normal T4 level, but many endocrinologists would just follow her levels for progression. ...Read more

Hi my TSH 3rd generation result is 100. I have always been overweight and have recently gained a little bit of weight. Have irregular periods and recently there has been issue of constipation.
It seems I would fall into the category of hypo-thyroidism.
I'm not sure what: ..units are being used to measure your TSH level, but 100??? In the USA, the standard value that labs use to measure TSH is microunits/ml and normal values range from 0.4 to 4.0 microunits/ml. If you're TSH is 100 mcu/ml, then definitely something's wrong with your thyroid or the hormones regulating it. This test result requires follow up and either clarification or treatment. ...Read more
Is it possible for thyroid to "fix" itself? Back in April TSH was high (4.8) and today it was in normal range. I have not taken any meds for it.
Yes, however...: Hypothyroidism can be caused by exposures to toxins or goitregenic foods or deficiency of iodine & other nutrient, so clearing toxins or changes in diet can help. It could also be lab error. However, a changing TSH could be due to thyroiditis so check for thyroid auto-antibodies. Not to worry : The thyroid is a dynamic gland that produces thyroxine hormone whose level fluctuates slightly depending on the time of day as well as other factors. The TSH you have reportedly are not actually "low"; the values are a reflection of a thyroid gland that is operating quite well and quite normally. Not to worry! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Are fluctuations in TSH normal? (range .4-4.00) first test was 1.2. Second test 9 days later 3.4 not diagnosed with any thyroid issue, yet.
TSH: Fluctuations of hormones within what is considered the normal range are normal. Maybe the higher TSH was drawn at a time of the day when there had been a higher demand on thyroid hormone and you pituitary had cranked up the TSH production a bit to stimulate your thyroid gland to keep up with the demand in thyroid hormone - in short, nothing to worry. ...Read more
