Hrt Male To Female
Does HRT Male to Female add or redistribute fat to orbital fat since I had some orbital fat removed in the past?
Usually done to provide the hormones that would be deficient upon surgical removal or inactivity or malfunction of a hormone producing gland or organ. The endocrinologist is the medical specialist that specializes amongst other things, in doing just that. Insulin/glucagon-pancreas, thyroid hormone-thyroid, ovaries, testicles, hypothalamus, ...Read more

Can a female who had bilateral pe's in her late20's take any type of HRT for menopause sympotms? Pes were a result of prolonged bedrest.
Complex question: Pulmonary emboli, especially bilateral, are potentially fatal. I will presume you were rx with blood thinners (anticoagulants) for over a year when they occurred and haven't recurred and ur now peri menopausal. If you r speaking only of symptoms of menopause, I would say, definitely avoid hrt. Other non-risky medications (both otc and rx) can be effective rx for that problem. ...Read more
How come some biological males voice remains childish and or high pitched? I started HRT at age 21 and (thankfully) my voice never got deep. Why?
Full range for choir: It is a function of length and thickness of vocal cords, as with any instrument, changes can adjust tone/pitch/quality. Some never thicken and are taught, so high. Others are thick and (comparatively) lax, so low. Most in between. ...Read more

25 male. Testosterone deficiency. Any alternative except HRT? Report says Testosterone 2.09 ng /dl (Normal 3.0 to 12.0)
Double check: Testosterone levels fluctuate normally, so to confirm a testosterone deficiency it is very important to test twice, and the test should be done as early in the morning as possible to maximize accuracy. If a repeat test, properly done, confirms a T deficiency then hormone replacement may indeed make you feel better, and there is no alternate way to correct a true testosterone deficiency. ...Read more

I’m a 33y/o female, had total hyst in 2011 No hrt. I have been experiencing burning in urethra when wearing pants or sitting. Not when I pee. Help!
Total Hyst/age 33: If you had your ovaries removed as well as the uterus, and are on no HRT, you will have a thinning lining of the urethra, which is easily irritated. If you retained your ovaries, you should check with your gyn provider to make sure you do not have a vaginal infection, which will make the area burn when compressed by tight clothing. ...Read more

NO CLOMID (clomiphene) FOR MEN!: I do not use Clomid (clomiphene) on males. In my experience it does not improve sperm, but may cause "man boobs" which must be removed surgically. If you have to shave, and fantasize about sexy looking women--you do not need more testosterone! too much testosterone causes many physical and psychological problems! ...Read more

40yr F. Take bio-identical HRT & armour (low dose). Significant hair loss, male pattern. Should I see dermatologist or endocrine for follow up?
SAFE for many women:
Hrt (and its reputation and safety) constantly changes as new studies come out. Here is the best review: in patients with no increased risk of breast cancer, heart disease, or blood clots, trans-dermal hrt (patch, cream, gel) is relatively safe, and safe for just a few years, but as few as necessary.
An even better review: talk to your own doctor. ...Read more

Pharmaceutical reps, all nice folk, come often to the doctor with new information about their "wonder" drug. The drugs are almost always very reliable but the doctor really won't know which new product is best for which patient.

Possible symptoms: Menopause is defined as no periods for 1 year, but you can be perimenopausal for 15 years before menopause! The symptom list is long, but many note difficulty sleeping, foggy brain, memory lapse, hot flashes and night sweats.
