Give it time or: If it is a "pulled muscle" it will get better over time with some local heat applications & rest with some restriction of activity. Oxycodone makes me sick to my stomach.    Alternative pain killer i can take?  I have  back strain and will be seeing my pcp in the morning.

Back strain: I would stick to a good NSAID (zipsor, naprelan) and a muscle relaxer. Narcotics (like oxycodone) do not address the underlying problem. Ther are however many other narcotics besides oxycodone if your doctor feels you need one (tramadol, hydrocodone). ...Read more
