See an OB/GYN: If you are concerned about this go and get it examined by a professional. Without seeing it, it is impossible to diagnose. Probably benign, but have it looked at. Best wishes. ...Read more

Infection? See MD: Congratulations for being vaccinated! The vaccine itself is unlikely cause this sort of reaction, so I would wonder whether you have an infection. Check back with your doctor's office. Probably it isn't serious, but better safe than sorry. (And you probably can safely have the additional vaccine doses to get complete protection against HPV.) ...Read more

Is it OK with U: Hpv lesions can start out small & discrete early on but tend to expand & emerge as a thicker patch. They can also become secondarily infected by other surface germs. A trip to an obgyn to determine the extent of your lesions & discuss your treatment options can be worthwhile. While some lesions may disappear spontaneously in some, many require removal because of pain & spread. ...Read more

What are the symptoms of oral HPV? Are the lesions/warts painful? Is there any over the counter treatment for them like creams/pills...etc? Help

Usually no symptoms: Oral HPV infections are not rare, but a lot less common than genital ones. Almost all oral HPV infections are asymptomatic and invisible: no warts, bumps, pain, burning, or anything else. When warts do appear, they are painless bumps, often with a "cauliflower" appearance. There are no recommended OTC treatments. Happily, oral HPV is rarely dangerous. If you suspect oral warts, see your doctor. ...Read more

Get tested: Without doing an examination, it is hard to distinguish rashes and bumps in the vaginal area. But it sounds like you may have an outbreak of herpes. The best thing for you is to go to your family doctor or your OB/GYN and get tested for sexually transmitted infections. If you are sexually active and not using condoms, you are at risk for an STI. Early treatment is key! ...Read more

Dr. Can check throat: Throat symptoms can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Do it!: Go thru with the colposcopy but don't worry. They just want to be certain there are no areas to worry about, and if there are they will fix them! Colposcopy is a good idea to be sure that it's safe to just follow with a repeat pap smear in 1 year. Most likely it is.
