Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection. There are over 100 different types of HPV that causes warts in different areas of the body. What would be cause of constant deep pelvic pain, brown discharge and history of HPV in postmenopausal female?
See your doctor!:
This sounds like some sort of internal infection, probably not related to HPV. However, if you have not been having pap smears over the years, cervical cancer could cause such symptoms. Other cancers also are possible.
Whatever the cause of these symptoms, it is potentially serious. Please see your doctor as soon as you can get an appointment. ...Read more
I have hpv. Last week I had pink spotting and this week im having ALOT of brown discharge and inside my vagina it burns but not when I pee.
Infection? STD?: This probably is something more than HPV infection. HPV could cause pink spotting, if it is causing signficant erosion or pre-cancerous growth on the cervix. However, colored vaginal discharge usually indicates other kinds of infection, including STDs (gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomonas). Yeast infection can cause burning pain. See your doctor soon for exam and testing. Good luck! ...Read more

I was diagnosed with hpv during pregnancy and I bleed 24/7 and when I'm not bleeding I have a brown discharge with skin like particles. HELP?
Probably not HPV: HPV usually doesn't cause vaginal discharge or bleeding, so this more likely is something else. Are you still pregnant? At risk for STD? Any new, abnormal, or unexplained vaginal discharge or bleeding requires professional evaluation, and you have both. See your doctor soon -- if still pregnant, call your obstetrician immediately. Good luck! ...Read more

I was diagnosed with hpv, and haven't been sexually active for almost a year. I have found some milky white, cottage cheese look like discharge.
I have been having a problem with thick yellow discharge that is like cottage cheese. What should I do? I am 18 and had one child, I also have hpv.
Without: Without examining you and looking at your discharge under a microscope, it is hard to say exactly what it is. Thick, yellow cottage-cheese like discharge that smells "yeasty" like bread or beer is classically thought to be a yeast infection. You can try over-the-counter medications for a yeast infection or call your doctor for a single dose anti-fungal oral tablet. Other things that can cause a change in vaginal discharge are bacterial vaginosis or a sexually transmitted disease such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, or trichomonas. If you think you might have an std, if you have abdominal pain, pain with urination, or fever or if you are unsure of what is going on, give your doctor a call. They will know best what to do after they examine you. Good luck! ...Read more
What factors/reasons determine the type of CIN of HPV? How to know which CIN is next? Had a laser to remove CIN1. Discharging stopped. Pap in 2 mnths
Good question: No one knows why some women get fairly rapid progression to aggressive CIN's after meeting HPV and others never have problems. Even identified possible risk factors are of small effect. Comply with your instructions and you are well-protected against a lethal outcome. Cervical cancer was once THE great cancer killer of women. Best wishes. ...Read more

HPV 2: I am not sure if you are referring to Herpes Simplex Virus, Type 2 infection which in SOME CASES requires delivering via C/section. If you are referring to Human Papilloma Virus, [HPV] then you can deliver vaginally. You need to seek consultation ASAP with your obstetrician or midwife immediately to determine if you have active Herpes infection which would be detrimental to your baby. ...Read more
6 weeks postpartum having vaginal pain and pain in lower back left side and some discharge history of HPV but was cleared up what is causing this?
Did laser to remove CIN1 on Feb15. How long & often will CIN emerge again? How to reduce it? Still discharging Regular Pap test and next year HPV test.
Did laser and removed CIN1. Discharge and a bit bleeding. Is this normal? And does it mean the infection is removed? Will HPV leave my body in a year?
Probably: Some bleeding or discharge soon after the procedure may be ok as long as it doesn't persist. Many women under 30 do have HPV infection which later clears up. Continue with PAP smear annual screen till it is repeatedly negative for 3 consecutive yrs. It is the pathology (CIN) that is important not simply carrying the virus. ...Read more
