Hpv 16 And 18 Transmission
It seems to be quite: Infective, meaning if you kiss or have sex with a carrier, you are likely to become infected/a carrier yourself. This field is rapidly emerging. The dangerous hpv's are highly infective, but not all go further to cause cancer. But without safe sex practice, an infected person "gives" to all or most partners not engaging is safe sex. And kissing is a means of transmission.See 1 more doctor answer
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection. There are over 100 different types of HPV that causes warts in different areas of the body. HPV is incredibly common and almost all sexually active men and women get it during their lifetime. Most of the time HPV does not cause any symptoms or complications. However, A limited number of these HPV viruses are pathogenic and if not monitored carefully can be responsible for causing cervical and penile cancer. Some of these viruses have been ...Read more
HPV: There is no cure for hpv. Once you have it you have it. There are however different strains.
Yes, . ..: Such a transmission route is possible, but a contact with HPV doesn't mean one should get clinical or even subclinical infection. Most of disease-causing agents are contained or killed by our immune defense mechanism so we're not ill. Nonetheless, exercise sensible common sense to avoid unnecessary contacts and practice low-risk healthy lifestyle so we can live a long happy life.
Hpv transmission after laser surgery? Should I be worried? I'm a male and I had the warts removed, new partner and I don't want to hurt her. Thank
Use condoms: You can remove the obvious warts with laser/freeze them or burn them with various chemicals. They can also disappear on their own in time. However, this family of viruses is capable of returning anytime and can shed without obvious warts. Condoms can help prevent transmission but is not 100%.It is possible you will never shed virus or have recurrence, but this germ may be with you for life.
Is HPV transmission possible if a naked infected genital touches a surface, and few mins after someone else's genital touches the same surface?
It will not prevent: Hpv is spread through oral sex. It is found in the mouth/throat of about 7-14% of sexually active adults and causes mouth/throat cancer. The vaccine does not prevent transmission of the virus and it does not treat the virus that is already acquired. It greatly reduces the chance of catching the strains of the virus most likely to cause cancer if given before exposure.See 3 more doctor answers

worried HPV transmission via hand job. There was a client before me, not sure about the masseuses hygiene. Got a massage for 15 minutes prior to it?

HPV: Hpv is spread through direct sexual contact or, more rarely, skin-to-skin contact during sexual acts. Genital warts, the most obvious sign of hpv infection, are highly contagious. About two-thirds of people who have sexual contact with a partner with genital warts will develop warts, usually within three months of contact.
HPV: Unless you get warts this is a difficult question to answer. If you get one of the dangerous strains of hpv it can take some years to show on your pap smears. It is always best at your age, regardless of your sexual history to get the hpv vaccine known as gardisil. Please do not miss this vital vaccination.
I've been diagnosed with HPV 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68. Does this mean I have cancer?
Tested pos for HPV in 2015. My chart says neg for 16 & 18. Also says pos for other H risk type. What does this mean? Will I eventually get cancer?
Not necessarily: Woman have been getting pap smears for decades before we knew the link to HPV.Now we understand that some strains are more likely to produce cervical cancer than others. It may show up in years/decades or NEVER after the primary infection. Use this information as motivation to go in on time for your followups. Early detection of precancerous changes can allow removal before it converts to cancerSee 1 more doctor answer
How is HPV contracted? PAP came back "inadequate" & NEG for HPV 16, 18 & POS for 31-68. Only have 1 partner. What happens now w/ me & my partner? : (
You don’t have HPV: Your pap result indicate that you are negative for HPV meaning that you don’t have it. In this case nothing happens to you since you don’t have HPV. HPV is transmitted sexually. An “inadequate” results means that there were not enough cells to determine if the cells themselves were normal or not. Since HPV testing was normal there is not likely to be cause for alarm
