How To Use Oil Of Oregano For Boils Herpes
I got a boil can I use any of these for boils neomycin, saframycin and miconazole nitrate can I use any of them to cure boils?
NO: A single, isolated boil will heal faster when it drains. If it does not drain on its own, hot soaks may help. A dr can drain it with simple surgery. Antibiotics do not help. Miconazole is for yeast ; fungus, not boils. The other 2 should never be used on skin because they are useless that way and are prone to cause allergic reactions. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

For a natural remedy...What amts and how long use castor oil /tea tree oil for treatmt of nail fungus/athletes foot? How do they need diluted, if any
Fungus: Natural is GREAT when it works. I have found that it is a hit and miss proposition. You can follow the label on the bottle of tea tree oil or see your podiatrist for a diagnosis and prescription. nail fungus is VERY hard to kill. I would treat both the nails and the athletes foot infection at the same time and get it done as quickly as possible. Good luck. ...Read more
Can I use oil of oregano in addition to augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) (i have a sinus infection and read about the benefits of this natural remedy). ?
YES: There are no known interactions between oregano oil & augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate). Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) is a good broad-spectrum antibiotic but many sinus infections are viral &/or fungal. Oregano oil kills viruses, fungi & bacteria so is reasonable to take as well. Also consider pelargonium sidoides (sold as umcka), an herb proven effective for sinus infections. I also advise taking a probiotic for anyone on antibioitics. ...Read more
Is it safe during pregnancy to use castor oil topically on your face to help with acne? More specifically, i'd like to use cold pressed castor oil.
Poor choice: Why use an ancient, not-very-effective folk medicine promoted by charlatans? The best over-the-counter acne remedy is benzoyl peroxide, but if it's bugging you enough to consider "cold-pressed" castor oil, see if your physician would add topical Clindamycin to peroxide. The birth control pill stops acne in many women who can use it, and there are other stronger rx's after baby comes. ...Read more

Can you use lotramin on the vagina to get rid of a rash/ yeast infection? can you also use apple cider vinegar to get rid of HPV warts?
Poor data.: Tea tree oil has reported antimicrobial properties; it is used to treat plants of infections regularly. Human use has less good data, but the initial small, uncontrolled studies suggest it may have some role in wound healing. There's no strong study to make a medical recommendation one way or the other, however. ...Read more
I always use tea tree oil to swab on my pimples everyday.Try to remove them. Is that okay?Is tea tree oil good for remove pimple. Any suggestions?
Adjunct only: Tea tree oil is okay as it's a weak estrogen but do yourself a favor and use something in addition that's more effective. Topical benzoyl peroxide and/or retinoic acid are your two best friends; if these don't clear you in a few weeks, or if it's on your trunk, get with you personal physician who can prescribe something that will clear you. Acne's a serious liability and you must manage it. ...Read more

Is it safe to use coconut oil to cure my yeast infection? I'm 11 weeks pregnant! And can a yeast infection harm my baby?
Over the counter: Vaginal yeast medications are readily available at any pharmacy. This is the treatment. Coconut oil is not known to be a cure for vaginal yeast. Yeast infections do not have a baby but they are quite uncomfortable for the mother. Since medication is easily available there is no reason to suffer ...Read more
Probably not: There is no "natural remedy" likely to help. If the infection is superficial, just keeping it clean and dry may be sufficient. In that case, a natural product may seem to work but it's just normal healing. Any non-antibiotic product that moisturizes the area (creams, ointments) may make things worse. Best to see a doctor (with science-based training) for professional advice. ...Read more
