I have Abdominal ulcer and get treated. I have gotten enormous amount of skill on it. Shall I take cup of tea with out spice?
SKILL?: I assume by skill, you mean are able to eat certain foods and stay well? Certainly, there are known trigger food for ulcers and Acid indigestion/reflux disease, and Coffee and hot tea are on the top of the list. So I do not recommend that to my patients, even if they are controlled and "skilled." As, Diet and avoidance of triggers remains the mainstay of treatment! I have some irritation in the stomach lining. I am getting treated, but what other steps should I take to avoid an ulcer? What should I not do?
Yes: Omeprazole is used to treat ulcers and is effective. Ulcers can reoccur however. There is a bacteria that is known to cause ulcers (H.pylorI). If you have that bacteria, then treating the bacteria with antibiotics can "cure" the ulcer and hopefully never return. You need to see your doctor to see if you have that bacteria and get it treated by antibiotics in addition to taking omeprazole. ...Read more
