How To Treat Pinched Nerve In Shoulder Blade
The brain and spinal cord communicates with what is occurring in the internal organs and limbs by nerve fibers where are like electrical wires with insulation (myelin) and the "copper" (axon). Within brain and spinal cord these nerves connect to other nerves via synapses on both axons and dendrites. A nerve can carry information regarding sensations, and ...Read more

Further treatment: There are more aggressive treatment options for the spine that are more powerful than using over the counter medications, but they get progressively more involved. From non invasive alternatives such as physical therapy or chiropractic care, to interventional pain procedures which are invasive but non surgical, to even surgical considerations. I would not hesitate to be seen to discuss options. ...Read more

Arguably: Arguably the worst possible cause of severe pain felt in the shoulder blade and deep into the chest would be an uncommon condition called aortic dissection. Problems with the gallbladder and heart can also cause pain in the region of the shoulder or armpit (axilla). The spinal nerve corresponding to t2 also feels an area that involves the armpits and hoop-shaped strip of skin that runs across your chest above your nipples, through your armpits, and across your back at about the same level (it also involves part of the skin on the arm). After excluding things like dissection, heart problems, and gallbladder problems, a neurosurgeon may be helpful to get to a diagnosis and some relief. ...Read more

Discuss with MD: You have a lot going on for your age, please discuss this with your doctor, you may warrant some further testing. Your doctor may order a nerve conduction test coupled with an emg, or an MRI if they have not done so already. Discuss with your doctor. ...Read more
Can a pinched nerve cause Numbness and weakness that comes and go on the right arm/hand and right leg/foot? Also, pain in the shoulder blade/bicep.

Consult with a physical medicine and rehabilition specialist would be appropriate. ...Read more
Shoulder pain frequently. Think pinched nerve under the scapula near spine. And get rubber arm when I sleep sometimes. Any home remedy? Or go to dr?
Could sharp pain between my shoulder blade and spine be attributed to my brachial plexus injury and suprascapular nerve compression.
As the brachial plexus comes from the cervical spine, while the area mentioned (between spine and scapula) is supplied by nerves from the thoracic spine.
One could have both lesions though.
See your spine specialist.
Good luck. ...Read more
What can I do if I think I have a pinched nerve in my upper back in between my shoulder blades that radiating pain in my back, neck, &in shoulder socket?

I have a burning in my arm above the elbow and now my arm is felling num. The burning is just below the shoulder to the back of the arm could this be a pinch nerve.
The: The problem may be spasm in the teres muscle that runs across the shoulder blade to the armpit. When you develop a trigger point there it may radiate down the back of the arm in radial nerve distribution because the radial nerve enters the arm at the point of attachment. What people refer to as "pinched nerves" in the shoulder area are often trigger points. These are relieved by deep massage, stretching or trigger point injection with lidocaine. ...Read more
