If I don't see a reaction when I use a stool blood test card, how can tell if the test is negative or if it's defective?

Ask your physician: After you collect the sample, you must send it back to your physician. There is a solution that is placed on the back of the card to make the color change happen. A small blue circle (control) will appear at the bottom of the test area. If this is the only color change present on the card, the test is negative and valid.

Do anal fissures go away on their own? I saw a very small amount of blood in my stool once and some pain does that mean I have it? How can I tell?

Get exam: With blood in your stool, it is always best to get an examination. An examination, not by yourself using mirrors etc, can be diagnostic and at the same time assure it is not something more serious. Many things can cause some blood, even a large strained BM that causes minor lacerations. Etc. May do it. As stated though, best to get an exam, Good luck.
